Zac Efron

Zachary David Alexander "Zac" Efron (born October 18, 1987) is an American actor and singer. He began acting professionally in the early 2000s, and became known as a teen idol after his lead roles in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical. He was born October 18, 1987 in San Luis Obispo, California.

Zac's last name, "Efron", means "lark" (a bird) in Hebrew. Zac's paternal grandfather, Harold Efron, was the son of Ashkenazi immigrants from Poland, Nasko Efron and Dworja Klein. Zac's other ancestry includes English, German, one sixteenth Irish, and remote Dutch and Belgian (Flemish).

He donated many items to Rocky Stone to be given to less fortunate kids as part of the Toy Mountain Campaign.

Efron was second on People's 2011 Most Beautiful list.

In 2011 he won for Choice Other: Red Carpet Fashion-Icon at Teen Choice Award and in the next year he won People’s Choice Award for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actor.
